Jun. 2nd, 2011 @ 06:31 pm Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
I decided to make some changes around here for the summer so here's my first step a new name and theme.  The addy remains the same but my life has changed so much since 2007 when i started this journal that i decided i wanted a new look.

The monkey that is my new icon is Zip I have had a Zip the monkey since I was a Baby and I am 49 or will be next month.  The one I have now I think is Zip the 2nd.  I have decided to take Zip with me on all of my adventures this year.

So this is the first step with hopefully more to come.

It's a new year.  Hope so far its been a happy one.

My New years day was spent moving things around in my room to get a new bedroom set in place Hubby who is a packrat drove me bonkers. I finally sat and counted all the change he had stuck in every nook and cranny (41.38 in total).  I also watched Dr who on BBC america.

Oct. 14th, 2010 @ 02:03 pm Whats up!
Well since I just paid for another two months i thought that maybe posting to my LJ would be a good idea then I won't be wasting very hard earned money.  Since i can't do cuts yet the posts will be small.  Lets see today I cleaned a rental home for MR. B.  I used to only clean new construction homes before they had owners but  no one is building at the moment so its cleaning rentals for now.  Yuck I swear people are simply pigs.  I know that might seems harsh but the tenants had only been in the home for 3 months and it was so dirty that all the carpets had to be replaced and the appliances.  They had 3 pet rabbits and thought it was cruel to cage them.  All of the real yuck was already gone by the time i had to clean  so I bid it low and finished in 4 hours.   The only other news I have is I signed up for nanowrimo.

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

Jul. 20th, 2009 @ 02:11 pm GreatGrandmothers Crown
MY Mom sent My Daughter Sarah a really great gift for her Graduation a Crown.  It's a Crown My GreatGrandmother wore that had something to do with the Masonic Temple and the Eastern Star.  MY family in the past was very Involved and My grandfather and great grandfather got Pretty high up.

The crown arrived today and Of course my daughter had to put it on as soon as she opened it.  In fact several hours later she is still sitting here in here Pj's wearing the crown.  It was a perfect fit.

So Here's a pic of her in the crown.

I also put it on to get in on the fun.  It was to small for me and it actually being held up by my briads.

Jul. 17th, 2009 @ 08:10 am Seven's Gathering
Last weekend Patrick and I went Up to the 7's gathering our Friend Emmery had up in Waycross Ga.  It was a lot of fun to just relax and enjoy spending time with our friends.

I have more pictures of the place than I do of the people so I will show them first.  Emmery has built everything on his property from reclaimed/recycled/found materials.

This is Emmery's house.  He has Built the entire thing one room at a time.

This is the barn/workhouse also built a piece at a time.

This door is on the front of the barn and one of the surprises that he has made all around the property.

Inside the door is a cute little room.  Emmery called it the barn room but I called it the honeymoon suit since it has the cute little wreath on the door.  The little room had power and a ceiling fan so it was nicer than staying in a tent.

Emmery is trying to have lots of little places to stay spread around the property.

This is the Bathroom  complete with a septic tank He built on the back half of the property.  The little room behind him has the toilet in it from a camper.  The larger room has a full size tub and shower in it.  It only has cold water so it can get chilly sometimes.  The whole thing has been nicknamed "The poop deck."

This is the outpost.  It the farthest place to stay at Emmery's It has two room that can sleeps 2 each or there is a door between then that can be opened so it can be used for a bigger family.  I didn't get pictures of the inside Because people were staying in it and still sleeping.

The last little place to stay in the camper.  Its tiny  but does sleep 2.  Patrick and I stayed in it last fall when we visted and its one of the reasons we decided to get a camper of our own.

This is Me with Mandy and Baby Keena.  Keena is 2 weeks old.

This is everyone who was still there on Sunday morning when some one said Lets get a group photo.
This picture has Rob, Mandy, Keena, Patrick, Myself, Judy, Rick, Astrid, Marty, and Emmery in it.
Emmery is dressed up because he was tending the fires.

There are 7 seperate fire circles and a fire is lite each morning for 7 days.  Here are some of the fire circles.

The last circle is the biggest and where we drum and sing and dance.  That fire is lit last.
